I think that Henry Reyna and El Pachuco from the play Zoot Suit some sort of connections. For example, El Pachuco could be the person who tells him what to do, say or how to act in a situation. It could also be a person inside of him that tells him what the wrong thing and right thing to do or maybe it is his negative side. The reason I say this is because in the play it sounds like everytime Pachuco talks no one seems to hear him. It also looks like he could control everything just with one snap of a finger.
For example, in the film it looks like he has the power to stop or freeze the play. Every time he snapped a finger everything freezes and then he turns and talks to Henry. He tells him things like what to do. Or when Henry was talking to that reporter named Alice, he looked at Pachuco when she asked Henry a question. He responded back but Alice seem to not notice Pachuco talk. My point is that El Pachuco and Henry could be the same person just that El Pachuco could be Henry inner side. The one who tells him what to do in a situation with the gang. He basically tells Henry what might be the right decision for him. Sometimes he might start arguing with him. Is like us trying to make a decision and inside your aguing with yourself while trying to make the right decision.
